The Caltex Socceroos 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Iraq will be played on neutral territory at the PAS Stadium in Tehran, Iran on 23 March, the AFC has confirmed.
The match will be the first time the Socceroos have played in Tehran since the 1997 FIFA World Cup Qualifier, which ended 1-1 in front of more than 110,000 fans.
The match will kick off at 4.30pm (11pm AEDT).
The Caltex Socceroos will then travel to Sydney to take on the United Arab Emirates in what is shaping as a pivotal international window with the Socceroos amongst four teams within one point at the top of Group B at the halfway stage of qualifying.
