The Subway Joeys are currently competing in the four nations U-17 Antalya Youth Cup in Türkiye, where tournament organisers have revised the dates and kick off times for Match Day 2 and Match Day 3 to support event logistics.
Having arrived in Antalya on Wednesday afternoon (local), the Australians faced a strong Czechia outfit on Friday afternoon (local), where they claimed a nil-all draw.
The Subway Joeys tenacious efforts were soured by the injury to Western Sydney Wanderers’ striker, Max Hately, who had to be carried off the field during the second half with an injury to his left knee. Under the supervision of team medical staff, Hately will undergo scans to determine the extent of the injury.
Australia will next face Morocco on Monday, 13 February at 11.00am (local) / 7.00pm AEDT, followed by Uzbekistan on Wednesday, 15 February at 3.00pm (local) / 11.00pm AEDT.
