Tickets on sale as Australia U-23 seek Olympic Games spot in Thailand

Group stage tickets for the AFC U-23 Championship in Thailand are now on sale as Graham Arnold’s side aim to punch their ticket to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Australia have been drawn in Group A alongside the hosts, Thailand, as well as Iraq and Bahrain, as Asia’s finest U-23 teams compete in the tournament between 8-26 January 2020.

The 16 nations will compete for three places at the Olympic tournament in July and August, with Japan already guaranteed their spot as the host nation.

The Green and Gold raise the curtain against Iraq at Thammasat Stadium in Rangsit, on the outskirts of Bangkok, on Wednesday, 8 January, before facing the hosts at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok three days later on Saturday, 11 January.

Australia U-23 round off the group stage against Bahrain back at Thammasat Stadium on Tuesday, 14 January, with an eye on advancing to the Quarter-Finals.
