Talay departs role as Young Socceroos head coach

Football Federation Australia (FFA) today announced the departure of Young Socceroos coach Ufuk Talay who is looking to pursue another coaching opportunity.

Talay was assistant coach at the AIS Centre of Excellence and for the Joeys before taking over from Paul Okon as head coach of the Young Socceroos. 

FFA’s Head of National Performance, Luke Casserly, thanked Talay for the contribution he made to Australia’s junior national teams.

“We have invested in Ufuk’s development as a coach over the past few years, we believe he is one of the brightest young coaches in the country,” said Casserly.

“We would like to thank Ufuk for his work and commitment and wish him every success in the future.”

Casserly said Talay’s replacement as coach of the Young Socceroos would be announced in due course.
