Carlton-s ANDREW MARTH will join the LG Socceroo Squad, currently in camp preparing for the three match series against Paraguay, with game one at the Sydney Football Stadium this Friday night.
The big defender has been drafted in by LG Socceroo Coach FRANK FARINA, with a number of Squad members doubtful for the opening game.
“STEVE CORICA is currently suffering from a thigh strain, and while he-s joined the boys in Camp today, he-s definitely out of Friday night-s game, with every possibility he-ll also miss Monday-s game in Brisbane,” said Farina today, after the team-s first hit-out together.
LUKE CASSERLY is also in doubt, with a knee problem being assessed in Camp later today, while Wollongong Wolves striker SCOTT CHIPPERFIELD will also be missing for at least one game.
“Scott and Wollongong have done exceptionally well this season, and I wouldn-t dream of asking him to miss this Sunday-s NSL Grand Final against Perth,” Farina continued.
“He-ll fly into Brisbane directly after the game, and while it-s unlikely he-ll play the second match, he-ll be training with the team for the third game in Melbourne on Thursday (15-06).”
Meantime captain PAUL OKON and goalkeeper MARK BOSNICH have now joined the LG Socceroo Squad, with ZELJKO KALAC, PAUL AGOSTINO and STAN LAZARIDIS arriving into camp tomorrow.
And finally, the Seven Network has confirmed it-s telecast details of the three match series, as follows:
