Leckie's Hertha Berlin too good for Hannover 96 in Bundesliga

Mathew Leckie's Hertha Berlin have defeated Hannover 96 3-1 in the German Bundesliga overnight.

The Caltex Socceroo winger was a 47th minute substitute for Hertha at the Olympiastadion in Berlin to help them to a good win against their fellow mid-table rivals.

Berlin went 2-0 up at the break thanks to a brace from former Chelsea player Salomon Kalau.

Jordan Torunarigha added a third for the Berlin side after 83 mintues while Ihlas Bebou scored for Hannover.

However, Leckie blotted his copybook by picking up a yellow card after 62 minutes for simulation.

Hertha sit in 11th spot on the ladder with 21 points.

Hertha Berlin next face RB Leipzig on Monday at the Red Bull Arena.
