A win in their early hours of Thursday morning (AEDT) will get the job done for the Green and Gold and clinch an opportunity to create history in Japan in July and August.
But, if Australia U-23 fall short, a third-placed playoff awaits and an all-or-nothing clash to decide the final team travelling to the 2020 Olympic Games.
