Boyle given 'all clear' following 'nasty collision'

Caltex Socceroos attacker Martin Boyle has been given the “all clear” following a head knock in Hibernian’s Scottish Premiership win at Hamilton Academical on Sunday morning (AEDT).

Boyle needed lengthy treatment before half time after clashing with Hamilton’s Gary Woods and suffering concussion.

Hibernian manager Neil Lennon even went to check on Boyle as he was treated on the pitch.

But after scans, Hibernian announced that Boyle was on the mend.

“Good news, Hibees. After being carried off on a stretcher today and taken to hospital, Martin Boyle has been given the all-clear following a scan,” the club announced on Twitter.

Boyle also took to social media himself to thank medical staff from both clubs and say he was “buzzing” with the club’s victory - a result that snapped a winless streak of seven matches.

Hibernian sit eighth in the Scottish Premiership table, 10 points behind Tom Rogic’s table-topping Celtic.
