Aussies Abroad Preview: Mooy vs Behich, Taggart vs Langerak

It is another big weekend of Aussies Abroad action as Aaron Mooy and Aziz Behich meet in the Scottish Premiership while Adam Taggart and Mitch Langerak clash in their final J1 League match.

Asia

Starting in the J1 League, Adam Taggart could feature in Cerezo Osaka's last J1 League match against Mitch Langerak's Nagoya Grampus on Saturday at 4pm (AEDT). 

Cerezo currently sit in fourth position and are still in with a chance of finishing third and clinching an AFC Champions League qualifying position but they must beat Langerak's Nagoya by five goals and hope Sanfrecce lose. 

United Kingdom

Starting in Scotland, where Aaron Mooy's Celtic will face off against Aziz Behich's Dundee United on Sunday at 2am (AEDT). 

Mooy also started and played 63 minutes as Celtic lost 5-1 to Real Madrid in their final Champions League match on Thursday at the Bernabéu.


Ryan Strain and Keanu Baccus' St Mirren will also be in action against Ross County on Sunday at 2am (AEDT). St Mirren will be looking to bounce back after a 3-0 defeat to Hibernian in their last outing.

Elsewhere in Scotland, Cameron Devlin and Nathaniel Atkinson will be hoping to put in another positive display when Heart of Midlothian face Motherwell on Monday at 2am (AEDT).  

Devlin also played 90 minutes in Hearts 3-1 UEFA Europa Conference League loss against İstanbul Başakşehir F.K on Friday. Atkinson also returned from injury to play 90 minutes and score a goal by slamming a loose ball into an empty net from close range.

In other injury news, Martin Boyle has been given the green light to feature at the upcoming World Cup but the Hibs star has been warned that he may have to play through the pain barrier, according to Scotland's Daily Record and The Scotsman newspapers.

In England, Riley McGree's Middlesbrough will also face off against Bristol City on Sunday at 2am (AEDT). McGree also started and played 84 minutes as Boro claimed their first win under new manager Michael Carrick on Wednesday with a 3-1 victory over Hull City.

Tom Rogic will be hoping to make another Championship appearance when West Bromwich Albion face Queens Park Rangers on Sunday at 2m (AEDT). Rogic came off the bench in the 76th minute and registered an assist as West Brom beat Blackpool 1-0 on Wednesday. 

Elsewhere in the Championship, Kenny Dougall's Blackpool also take on Luton Town on Sunday at 2am (AEDT). Dougall also started and played 90 minutes in the 1-0 loss against Rogic's West Brom on Wednesday.

Bailey Wright's Sunderland also take on Cardiff City on Sunday at 2am (AEDT).  Wright also played 90 minutes in a 2-0 win over Huddersfield on Thursday.

In injury news, Harry Souttar could be in line for more minutes when Stoke City's under-21s play Derby County under- 21s on Tuesday at 6am (AEDT). 

Souttar played another 69 minutes for Stoke City's under-21s in a 4-0 loss against West Brom under- 21s on Tuesday.


In Olyroos Abroad news, goalkeeper Nick Bilokapic could feature on the bench when Huddersfield face Blackburn Rovers at 2am (AEDT) on Sunday. Bilokapic was also on the bench in a 2-0 loss to Sunderland on Thursday.

In League Two, goalkeeper Jacob Chapman could feature in the FA Cup First Round for Salford City when they face Peterborough on Sunday at 2am (AEDT). 

Lachlan Brook could also appear in the FA Cup First Round as Crewe Alexandra take on Leyton Orient on Sunday at 2am (AEDT). Brook started and played 72 minutes as Crewe Alexandra beat Leeds United U21 on penalties to advance in the Football League Trophy on Wednesday.

Europe

Starting in Germany, where Jackson Irvine and Connor Metcalfe could be in action when St. Pauli face Düsseldorf on Saturday at 11pm (AEDT). 

In France, Denis Genreau's Toulouse FC face Monaco on Monday at 1am (AEDT) as they look to bounce back from a 3-0 loss against Lens in their last outing. Toulouse currently sit in 11th on the Ligue 1 table. 


In Denmark, Mat Ryan's FC Copenhagen take on Lyngby on Monday at 2am (AEDT). Ryan was an unused substitute in Copenhagen's 1-1 draw with Borussia Dortmund in their final Champions League match on Thursday.

Elsewhere in Denmark, Joel King's Odense Boldklub face Brøndby IF on Monday at 4am (AEDT).

In Serie B, Fran Karačić and Brescia Calcio face Ascoli on Saturday at 1pm (AEDT). Brescia currently sit in eighth position and are seven points off the top.

In Belgium, Jason Davidson and James Jeggo's K.A.S. Eupen face off against Standard de Liège on Sunday at 6:45am (AEDT). 


In Spain, Awer Mabil could be in action when Cádiz CF face Getafe on Sunday at 1am (AEDT). 

Tyrese Francois' HNK Gorica face Istra 1961 on Saturday at 4am (AEDT) in the Croatian Football League.  

In Olyroos abroad news, Alou Kuol could also feature for VfB Stuttgart II when they take on SSV Ulm 1846 Fußball on Sunday at 1am (AEDT). 

Josh Rawlins could also be in action in the Eerste Divisie when Jong FC Utrecht take on FC Eindhoven on Tuesday at 6am (AEDT).

  • In Austria, James Holland's FK Austria Wien take on WSG Tirol on Monday at 12:30am (AEDT) in the Austrian Bundesliga. 
  • In Germany, John Iredale's SV Wehen Wiesbaden take on SV Meppen on Saturday at 5am (AEDT) in the 3. Liga.
  • In France, Alex Gersbach's Grenoble FC take on Rodez on Sunday at 5am (AEDT) in  Ligue 2.
  • In the Netherlands, Dylan Ryan's FC Den Bosch take on De Graafschap in the Eerste Divisie on Saturday at 6am (AEDT).

  • In the England Championship, Callum Elder's Hull City face Millwall on Sunday at 2am (AEDT).

  • Caleb Watts could feature for Morecambe against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday at 6:45am (AEDT) in FA Cup First Round action.

  • In the Israeli Premier League, Nikita Rukavytsya's Maccabi Haifa will be in action against Beitar Jerusalem on Monday at 5:30am (AEDT).
