Aussies Abroad Preview: Behich vs Rowles, Atkinson & Devlin in Scotland

It is an all-Aussie affair in Scotland as  Dundee United face off against Heart of Midlothian in another big weekend of Aussies Abroad action.

United Kingdom

Starting in Scotland, Aziz Behich could be in action when Dundee United face Kye RowlesCameron Devlin and Nathaniel Atkinson's Heart of Midlothian on Sunday at 1am (AEDT) in Matchday 18 of the Scottish Premiership. 

Hearts sit in fourth position in the SPFL while Dundee United remain bottom of the table and are in desperate need of a victory to narrow the three-point gap that Kilmarnock hold. 


Aaron Mooy's Celtic will also face off against St. Johnstone on Saturday at 11:30pm (AEDT).

Mooy came off the bench in the 82nd minute as Celtic beat Livingston 2-1 on Thursday to hold their nine-point lead at the top of the table.

Keanu Baccus' St Mirren will also be in action against Aberdeen on Saturday at 11:30pm (AEDT). 

In England, Harry Souttar could be in line for another start when Stoke City face league leaders Burnley on Saturday at 6:45am (AEDT) in the Championship.

Stoke are unbeaten in their last two matches but face a tough task against a Burnley side who have won three games in a row and hold a three-point lead at the top of the table. 

Elsewhere in the Championship, Riley McGree's Middlesbrough will also face off against Wigan Athletic on Tuesday at 2am (AEDT).

After a 3-1 loss to league leaders Burnley in their last outing, McGree will be hoping his Boro side can bounce back against second-to-bottom Wigan. 

Bailey Wright's Sunderland also take on Blackburn Rover on Monday at 11:30pm (AEDT).  Wright has not featured in the match-day squad for Sunderland's last two matches, however, another week on the training ground has improved his prospects of featuring against Blackburn. 

In Olyroos Abroad news, goalkeeper Nick Bilokapic could feature on the bench when Huddersfield face Preston at 2am (AEDT) on Tuesday. 

In League Two, goalkeeper Jacob Chapman could also feature on the bench for Salford City when they face Barrow on Tuesday at 2am (AEDT). Chapman also started and kept a clean sheet in their 1-0 win over Port Vale in the Football League Trophy on Wednesday.


Elsewhere in League two, Lachlan Brook's Crewe Alexandra take on Stockport on Tuesday at 2am (AEDT). 

Europe

Starting in Italy's Serie B, where Fran Karačić and Brescia Calcio face Palermo on Monday at 11:30pm (AEDT). 

Meanwhile, Ajdin Hrustic's Hellas Verona take on Bologna F.C. 1909 in a club friendly ahead of the Serie A return on January 5. 

In Olyroos abroad news, Hosine Bility could be in action in the Portuguese LigaPro when CD Mafra face U.D. Vilafranquenseon Saturday at 6am (AEDT).

  • In the England Championship, Tom Rogic could be in line for another start when West Brom take on Bristol City on Tuesday at 2am (AEDT). Rogic also started and played 66 minutes in a last-minute 1-0 loss against Coventry on Tuesday.
  • Elsewhere in the Championship, Callum Elder's Hull City face Kenny Dougall's Blackpool on Tuesday at 2am (AEDT).
  • In League One, Ashley Maynard-Brewer could be in action for Charlton Athletic against Peterborough United on Tuesday at 2am (AEDT). Maynard-Brewer was the hero as Charlton Athletic stunned Brighton in the Carabao Cup Round of 16 on Thursday.
  • Elsewhere in League One, Caleb Watts could feature for Morecambe against Port Vale on Tuesday at 2am (AEDT).
  • Jack Iredale's Bolton Wanderers face Derby County in League One on Wednesday at 2am (AEDT). Iredale also started and played 90 minutes in a 4-0 win over Manchester United U21's in the Football League Trophy on Wednesday.
  • In Scotland, Ryan Strain could feature for St Mirren against Aberdeen on Saturday at 11:30pm (AEDT) while Ryan McGowan could feature for St Johnstone against Celtic on Saturday at 11:30pm (AEDT). 
  • Phillip Cancar could also feature for Livingston against Hibernian on Sunday at 1am (AEDT) while Mark Birrighitti could line up in goal for Dundee United against Hearts on Sunday at 1am (AEDT).

The Middle East

  • In the Israeli Premier League, Nikita Rukavytsya's Maccabi Haifa will be in action against Maccabi Netanya FC on Tuesday at 5:30am (AEDT). Rukavytsya came off the bench in the 66 minute and scored in Haifa's 3-1 win over Bnei Sakhnin on Tuesday.
