Aussies Abroad Preview: Baccus vs Devlin, Rowles & Atkinson in Scotland

There is another all-Aussie affair in the Scottish Premiership as Cameron Devlin, Kye Rowles and Nathaniel Atkinson could be in action against Keanu Baccus while the FA Cup 3rd Round kicks off in England.

United Kingdom

Starting in Scotland, where Cameron Devlin, Kye Rowles and Nathaniel Atkinson could be in action when Heart of Midlothian travel to Keanu Baccus and Ryan Strain's St. Mirren on Sunday at 2am (AEDT).

Hearts are unbeaten in their last five Scottish Premiership matches and sit in third position while St. Mirren are also unbeaten in their last five and in fifth. 

Elsewhere in Scotland, Aaron Mooy's Celtic host Kilmarnock on Sunday at 2am (AEDT).

The hosts will be looking to extend their lead at the summit of the Scottish Premiership to 12-points, with Rangers not in action until Sunday.

Aziz Behich could also feature alongside Mark Birighitti for Dundee United against Rangers on Monday at 3am (AEDT). United are unbeaten in their last three games and will look to move further up the table against a Rangers side that has not lost in seven Scottish Premiership matches. 

In England, Harry Souttar could feature in Stoke City's FA Cup 3rd Round tie against Hartlepool on Monday at 1am (AEDT).  

Riley McGree could also be in 3rd Round FA Cup action when Middlesbrough host Premier League outfit Brighton on Sunday at 2am (AEDT). 


Bailey Wright could also be in line for another start when Sunderland travel to Shrewsbury in another FA Cup 3rd Round tie on Sunday at 2am (AEDT). 

In Olyroos Abroad news, goalkeeper Nick Bilokapic could also be in line to start when Huddersfield take on Preston in FA Cup 3rd Round action on Saturday at 11:30pm (AEDT).

In League Two, goalkeeper Jacob Chapman could also feature on the bench for Salford City when they face Northampton Town on Saturday at 11pm (AEDT). 

Elsewhere in League two, Lachlan Brook's Crewe Alexandra take on AFC Wimbledon on Sunday at 2am (AEDT). 

Brook recently extended his loan spell with Crewe until the end of the season. The 21-year-old Brentford B winger man arrived on a six-month loan deal in July, and has made 20 appearances for the club.

Europe

In Serie A, Ajdin Hrustic returned to action with Hellas Verona with a cameo off the bench in the 86 minute as Hellas drew with Torino 1-1 on Thursday.

Hrustic could be in action again when Hellas host Cremonese on Tuesday at 4:30am (AEDT). 

In transfer news, Awer Mabil has joined AC Sparta Prague on loan for the remainder of the season. Mabil could be in action when Sparta take on VfB Stuttgart in a friendly on January 12. 

Mabil links up with a familiar face at Sparta in Head Coach Brian Prisk, who coached Mabil at FC Midtjylland in Denmark.

Sparta is the eighth club of Mabil’s career which has seen him play in the top flight in Denmark, Portugal, Turkey and Spain.

In Olyroos Abroad news, Josh Rawlins could return to action with Jong FC Utrecht on Saturday at 6am (AEDT) when they travel to Den Bosch in the Eerste Divisie.

  • In France, Denis Genreau could feature in Toulouse FC's French Cup Round of 64 tie against Lannion on Monday at 4am (AEDT). 
  • Alex Gersbach's Grenoble Foot 38 also feature in the French Cup Round of 64 against Nimes on Saturday at 4am (AEDT). 

United Kingdom

  • In England, Massimo Luongo has returned to Ipswich Town FC on a six-month deal from Middlesbrough. 
  • Elsewhere in England, Tom Rogic could be in action when West Brom take on Chesterfield on Sunday at 2am (AEDT) in the FA Cup 3rd Round.
  • Callum Elder's Hull City also face Fulham on Sunday at 2am (AEDT) in the FA Cup 3rd Round.
  • Kenny Dougall could also be in action for Blackpool against Nottingham Forest on Sunday at 2am (AEDT) in the FA Cup 3rd Round.
  • In League One, Ashley Maynard-Brewer could be in action for Charlton Athletic against Lincoln City on Sunday at 2am (AEDT). 
  • Elsewhere in League One, Caleb Watts could feature for Morecambe against Cheltenham on Sunday at 2am (AEDT). 
  • Jack Iredale's Bolton Wanderers face Plymouth Argyle in League One on Sunday at 2am (AEDT).
  • In Scotland, Phillip Cancar could also feature for Livingston against Ross County on Sunday at 2am (AEDT). 

The Middle East

  • In the Israeli Premier League, Nikita Rukavytsya's Maccabi Haifa will be in action against Sektzia Nes Tziona on Monday at 5:15am (AEDT). Rukavytsya also started and played 62 minutes against H. Haifa in a 5-1 win in the Isreal State Cup on Thursday.
