Aussies Abroad: Duke scores, Boyle and Bos assist before heading into Socceroos camp

Mitch Duke and Awer Mabil were on target while Martin Boyle and Jordan Bos set up important goals as they prepare to enter Socceroos camp in form.

Starting in Switzerland, where Awer Mabil (cap #597) played 83 minutes, scored a goal, and registered an assist as Grasshopper beat FC Stade Lausanne-Ouchy 5-2 on Monday in the Swiss Super League.

The result snaps a two game winless streak and moves them away from the foot of the table. 

Ove to Japan's J2 League, Mitchell Duke (cap #559) played 66 minutes and scored a goal as Machida Zelvia ended their season with a 3-1 win over Vegalta Sendai on Sunday to continue their title and promotion celebrations.

Elsewhere in Japan, Thomas Deng (cap #598) came off the bench in the 57th minute in the J1 League as Albirex Niigata drew 0-0 with FC Tokyo on Saturday.

Mitch Langerak (cap #566) was also in goal in the J1 League as Nagoya Grampus lost 2-1 to  Shonan Bellmare on Saturday as they slipped further away from AFC Champions League qualification.

Over to Scotland, where Martin Boyle (cap #599) got an assist and played a full game as did Lewis Miller (cap #635) while James Jeggo (cap #601) came on in the 68th minute as Hibernian beat Kilmarnock 1-0 on Sunday to end their seven-game winless run.

Boyle picked up the ball inside his own half and drove into space, evading several defenders before feeding Josh Campbell on the right-hand side of the box, who set himself before shooting low into the net.

Kye Rowles (cap #622) also played another full game for Heart of Midlothian FC on Sunday alongside Olyroo Calem Nieuwenhof while Cameron Devlin (cap #625) was an unused substitute as they beat Motherwell 2-1.

Elsewhere in Scotland, Ryan Strain (cap #624) and Keanu Baccus (cap #628) both played full games as St Mirren were hammered 4-0 by Dundee on Sunday.

Ryan McGowan (cap #546) also played a full game for St Johnstone in a 1-0 win over Ross County on Sunday.

In Scotland’s League One, Dylan McGowan (cap #590) played a full game for Hamilton Academical in a 5-0 win against Stirling Albion on Sunday to remain three points behind the league leaders Falkirk. 

Over to Belgium, where Jordan Bos (cap #632) played a full game and set up a stoppage-time equaliser in Westerlo's 3-3 draw against Sint-Truiden on Sunday as they made it two games without defeat. 

Elsewhere in Belgium, Aiden O’Neill (cap #629) came off the bench in the 69th minute for Standard Liege on Sunday as they were thumped 6-0 by Antwerp. 

Back to the United Kingdom, where Cameron Burgess (cap #633) played a full game while Massimo Luongo (cap #571) came on in the 78th minute as Ipswich Town beat Swansea City 3-2 on Sunday in the Championship.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Sammy Silvera (cap #634) was an unused substitute alongside Tom Glover for Middlesbrough as they beat league leaders  Leicester City 1-0 on Sunday.  Harry Souttar  (cap #606) also watched on from the Foxes bench. 

Leicester are now level on points with Ipswich at the top of the table and eight ahead of third-placed and fast-improving Leeds.

In League One, Alexander Robertson (cap #630) played a full game, recent call up Kusini Yengi was an unused substitute for Portsmouth while Ashley Maynard-Brewer was in goal for Charlton Athletic on Sunday in a 2-2 draw.

In the Netherlands, Matthew Ryan (cap #555) was in goal for AZ Alkmaar as they lost 1-0 to second-placed Feyenoord as they failed to capitalise on closing the gap on first.

Elsewhere in the Eredivisie, Garang Kuol (cap #627) came off the bench in the 64th minute for FC Volendam lost 4-1 to Sparta Rotterdam on Monday.

In Serbia, Milos Degenek (cap #585) was an unused substitute for FK Crvena Zvezda on Sunday as they beat FK Železničar Pančevo 2-1.

In Germany, Connor Metcalfe (cap #611) played a full game for St. Pauli as they drew 0-0 with Schalke to keep their lead at the top of the table on Saturday in the 2 Bundesliga. Jackson Irvine (cap #568) will be suspended due to picking up five yellow cards.

In Italy's Serie B, Alessandro Circati (cap #637) started and played 88 minutes for Parma as they suffered a shock 3-2 loss to Lecco on Monday. Their lead at the top of the table has now been reduced to two points.

In Norway, recent Socceroos train-on Patrick Yazbek came off the bench at half time to feature for Viking FK in a 2-1 win over Sarpsborg on Monday in the Eliteserien.

In France's Ligue 2, Mohamed Toure (cap #636) was an unused substitute for Paris FC as they beat Bastia 1-0 on Sunday.

In Austria, James Holland (cap #508) was an unused substitute for Austria Wien as they drew 0-0 with league leaders RB Salzburg on Monday.

Over to the Saudi Pro League, where Craig Goodwin (cap #562) started and played 87 minutes for Al-Wehda on Sunday as they lost 3-1 to an Al-Nassr FC side featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mané, Marcelo Brozović and Alex Telles.

In the USA, Brad Smith (cap #575) was an unused substitute in Houston Dynamo's MLS play-off match against Real Salt Lake on Sunday. The Dynamo won 4-3 on penalties after drawing 1-1 in regular time.

Subway Olyroos

Starting in the Championship, Nectarios Triantis made his Championship debut for Sunderland as the Black Cats defeated Wayne Rooney’s Birmingham 3-1 at the Stadium of Light.

Triantis came close to scoring his first goal for the Black Cats, with his would-be maiden strike being deemed an own-goal by Sanderson.

In League One, Nicholas Bilokapic was in goal and kept a clean sheet as Peterborough United smashed Cambridge United 5-0 on Saturday.

Elsewhere in League One, Cameron Peupion was on the Cheltenham Town bench as they drew 1-1 with Wigan Atheltic on Sunday.

In League Two, Jay Rich-Baghuelou played a full game for Accrington Stanley as they lost 3-1 to Crawley Town on Sunday.

As mentioned above, Calem Nieuwenhof played another full game for Heart of Midlothian FC on Sunday as they beat Motherwell 2-1.

In Poland, Louis D'Arrigo was an unused substitute for Lechia Gdańsk as they drew 0-0 with Wisła Kraków on Saturday.

Subway Young Socceroos/U18

Adrian Segecic was substituted in the 60th minute for FC Dordrecht as they lost 4-1 to Jong PSV on Saturday in the Eerste Divisie.

Keegan Jelacic was an unused substitute for Stabaek in Norway on Monday as they drew 0-0 with Vålerenga Fotball.

  • Anthony Kalik came off the bench in the 71st minute for Hajduk Split as they beat Varazdin 3-1 on Monday.

  • Liam Chipperfield came off the bench in the 78th minute for FC Sion in a 3-3 draw with FC Vaduz on Saturday in the Swiss Challenge League.

  • In Italy, Cristian Volpato came off the bench in the 72nd minute for Sassuolo in a 2-2 draw with U.S. Salernitana 1919 on Saturday.

  • Ryan Edwards played 75 minutes for SD Amorebieta again on Sunday as they drew 1-1 with second-placed Sporting Gijon in Spain’s second division.

  • In Portugal Liga 2, Anthony Carter came on in the 60th minute for Oliveirense as they drew 0-0 with Pacos de Ferreira on Sunday.

  • John Iredale came off the bench in the 83rd minute for Wehen Wiesbaden in Germany’s 2. Bundesliga as they beat 1. FC Kaiserslauter 2-1 on Sunday.
