Socceroos defender Chris Herd is set to join Championship club Bolton Wanderers on a one-month loan deal.
Reports in the UK suggest the Aston Villa utility will be allowed to link up with the Wanderers on a short-term basis as he seeks to find some more match time.
It is understood that the deal will initially be for 28-days but that both parties are looking to extend it towards Christmas.
And Herd could go straight into Bolton’s side for their Capital One Cup tie against EPL leaders Chelsea on Thursday morning (AEST) if the move goes through in time.
