Brad Smith could be Liverpool's only winner in Basel as the Caltex Socceroos left-back is poised to benefit from Alberto Moreno's poor display against Sevilla.
Moreno's defending wasn't up to scratch for Sevilla's first and third goals as the reigning Europa League champions came from behind on Wednesday (Thursday morning AEST) to defeat Liverpool 3-1 at St. Jakob-Park.
The Spanish left-back was slammed by former Liverpool players and fans alike following the Europa League final, which could be good news for Smith.

If Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen for a new option at left-back next season, the 22-year-old Australian looks to be first in line.
Smith has had a breakout campaign with Liverpool in 2015-16 and strong performances for the Socceroos in upcoming friendlies against England and Greece would give him a strong foundation to build from next season at Anfield.
Sevilla struggled with Liverpool's intensity in the first half in Basel, with Klopp's men taking a 1-0 lead into the break thanks to Daniel Sturridge's sublime strike.
But the two-time defending champions levelled the match immediately after half-time through Kevin Gameiro.
Moreno failed to clear an initial cross satisfactorily, with Sevilla's Mariano gaining possession, nutmegging Liverpool's left-back on the edge of the box and squaring the ball for Gameiro to tap into the net.
Coke gave the Spanish outfit the lead in the 64th minute and Sevilla's skipper would also benefit from poor Moreno defending to wrap up victory soon after.
Moreno failed to recover quickly enough as Sevilla launched a counterattack with 20 minutes remaining, leaving Coke unmarked in the box to turn and fire past Simon Mignolet.
Since arriving at Anfield from Sevilla before the 2014-15 season, Moreno has been Liverpool's primary left-back, making 91 appearances in all competitions.
But if Klopp heeds the words of the likes of Jamie Carragher and Michael Owen, he will be looking for someone to at least challenge Moreno more regularly in 2016-17.
Smith might be that man.
After 10 senior appearances this season, including a maiden Premier League start, plus his first goal for the club, Smith will be looking for more regular game-time next term.
Smith was crowned Liverpool Academy's Players' Player of the Year earlier this month.
The Australian's main rival to replace Moreno at Liverpool might be 18-year-old Englishman Joe Gomez, who made seven senior appearances in 2015-16.
But Smith could get a headstart on Gomez if he can shine against England in Sunderland on May 27, while the Penrith-born defender has also been named in the Socceroos' squad to face Greece on June 4 and 7.
