Thriller as Bailey Wright wins battle of the Caltex Socceroos at Hull

Bailey Wright won the battle of the Caltex Socceroos after a thrilling comeback win for his Bristol City side at Jackson Irvine's Hull overnight in the English Championship.

Hull City, featuring Caltex Socceroo Jackson Irvine in their starting XI, lost 3-2 to Wright’s side after Hull lead 2-0 at the break.

Both Caltex Socceroos played the full 90 minutes at the KCOM Stadium in a game that was decided in the 89th minute by Josh Brownhill of Bristol.

It was a classic game of two halves.

Goals from Bristol's Aden Flint, Bobby Reid and Brownhill enough to inflict a fabulous win courtesy of a second half comeback from 2-0 down at the break.

Irvine went close with a header in the first half before Bristol's second half onslaught heaped more pressure on the struggling Tigers.

Bristol City are fifth in the Championship and they host Middlesbrough next weekend.

Australian Massimo Luongo’s QPR play Tuesday morning (AEDT) at home to fellow London side Brentford.
