2005 Nike Socceroos kit

This one has to be a no brainer with this kit undoubtedly going down in the history books for THAT night in November 2005 which saw the Socceroos defeat Uruguay on penalties to qualify for the 2006 FIFA World Cup – their first appearance at the showcase event since 1974.

Mark Schwarzer’s heroics between the sticks coupled with John Aloisi’s iconic penalty which sealed the Socceroos place in the FIFA World Cup the following year made that year’s kit one of the most memorable in recent times.

2006 – 2008 Nike Socceroos kit

Our first ever goal at a FIFA World Cup.

Tim Cahill’s goal against Japan in their opening group stage encounter at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany was the Socceroos first goal at the prestigious tournament.

Cahill’s record-setting goal and trademark celebration with the corner flag sent Aussie fans into raptures before he went onto double the Socceroos’ lead with another sublime finish while Aloisi put the icing on the cake to cap off an unforgettable 3-1 victory.

2010 - 2012 Nike Socceroos Kit

Brett Holman's winner against Serbia at the FIFA World Cup 2010. After Tim Cahill opened the scoring for Australia in their final group stage match, Holman struck from 25 yards to earn the Socceroos three points.

Luke Wilkshire’s penalty against Germany in 2011. The Socceroos were swept aside by Germany at the FIFA World Cup in South Africa the year before and were seeking revenge in the friendly fixture just under nine months later.

Wilkshire’s penalty sealed a surprise 2-1 victory for the Socceroos with David Carney also getting on the scoresheet in that historic win.

2012 – 2014 Nike Socceroos Kit

Josh Kennedy’s emphatic header that booked our place in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The towering striker’s goal against Iraq on June 18, 2013 confirmed the Socceroos’ place at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The green and gold were in desperate need of a goal that evening and it was Kennedy who came up with the goods with his header in the 83rd minute.

2014 – 2016 Nike Socceroos Kit

This one has to be the 2015 AFC Asian Cup Final when the Socceroos triumphed against South Korea.

Massimo Luongo opened the scoring on the stroke of halftime with a precise finish from just outside the 18-yard area before Son Heung Min equalised in the dying moments of the second half to take the match to extra time.

It was James Troisi who popped up with the winner after he slotted home from point blank range in the 105th minute to secure the Socceroos maiden Asian Cup.

2016 – 2018 Nike Socceroos Kit

The night that we saw off Syria in extra time of the second qualifying leg in Sydney.

A third placed finish in the group stage qualifiers meant the Socceroos hard to go down the hard route through a series of playoffs before they could book their tickets to Russia.

To qualify for the intercontinental play off they first had a two legged showdown with Syria who finished third in their respective group.

The first leg in Malaysia ended all square at 1-1 and the beginning of the second leg had Socceroos fans on the edge of their seat after the Syrians went 1-0 up in the opening 10 minutes.

A signature Cahill header restored parity only a few minutes later before the talisman came to the rescue once again when he headed home in the 109th minute to secure the green and gold’s progression into the play-offs.

The Socceroos went onto knock out Honduras in the intercontinental playoff to seal their place in the 2018 FIFA World Cup after a hat trick from captain Mile Jedinak.

2018 – 2020 Nike Socceroos Kit

Australia win first game away to Jordan in November 2019.

The Socceroos final match before the COVID-19 pandemic turned out to be quite a historic moment with Adam Taggart’s first half goal proving to be decisive.

That was the green and gold’s fourth consecutive victory and enough to keep them top of their Qualifying Group prior to the COVID-19 enforced break.
