It's almost here: the Caltex Socceroos will kick off their FIFA World Cup™ campaign against France this Saturday evening.
Bert van Marwijk's men will take on the 1998 Champions at 8pm AEST, with the action broadcast live on SBS and Optus Sport.
Following back to back victories against Czech Republic and Hungary, the Dutchman will have many a selection headache to work through ahead of kick off.
Now it's time for you to decide! Who would you pick for the starting XI for the Caltex Socceroos' first FIFA World Cup™ match against France?
GOALKEEPER
Maty Ryan started between the posts in last Sunday's final pre-tournament friendly against Hungary, before being replaced by Brad Jones for the second half. Danny Vukovic is another goalkeeping option for the Caltex Socceroos, having made his debut against Colombia in March.

RIGHT BACK
Josh Risdon is the only specialist right-sided fullback in van Marwijk's 23-man squad and played the 90 minutes against Hungary last Sunday. Milos Degenek has also proved a reliable option from the right side in the past and supplied the fourth assist in Australia's 4-0 win over Czech Republic.

CENTRE BACK PAIRING
Trent Sainsbury and Mark Milligan have fronted the centre of defence in Australia's previous two outings, while Milos Degenek and Matthew Jurman complete the Caltex Socceroos' defensive stocks.
Sainsbury has skippered the side in friendlies against the Czech Republic and Hungary, while Milligan has so far played every minute of the van Marwijk era, almost exclusively as a centre back.

LEFT BACK
Aziz Behich has started and completed the 90 minutes for Australia in their last six outings and continued his impressive form as the Caltex Socceroos' left back against Hungary. Although the Bursaspor flyer has been a lock throughout van Marwijk's tenure so far, could James Meredith be afforded an appearance against France?

CENTRE MIDFIELD PAIRING
Here's where it gets tricky for van Marwijk, with Australian midfield packed with energy, bite and creativity. Captain Mile Jedinak played the second half against Hungary and made a positive impact on the match, with Massimo Luongo stationed beside Aaron Mooy from the start of the previous three friendlies. Jackson Irvine offered a timely reminder of his unique skillset, albeit in a more advanced midfield role, with a superb second half cameo against Hungary and is another option in a deep-lying role.

ATTACKING MIDFIELD
Tom Rogic assumed the No.10 role in last Sunday's win, but the performance of Jackson Irvine, who replaced the Celtic wizard midway through the second half, poses some questions for van Marwijk to ponder.
And then there's Dimitri Petratos, the classy technical operator who has been praised by van Marwijk throughout the side's pre-tournament preparations.

RIGHT WING
Hertha Berlin attacker Mathew Leckie has been in excellent form for the national side in the past 18 months and clinched a brace against the Czech Republic earlier in the month. Andrew Nabbout has spearheaded the Caltex Socceroos' attack in the past two friendlies, but the former Newcastle Jets man's versatility could see him fielded out wide. Dimitri Petratos started from the right against Norway in May, while Daniel Arzani could be an outside bet to start from the right hand side.

LEFT WING
Robbie Kruse has started as Australia's left winger against Czech Republic and Hungary but after a match-deciding appearance from Melbourne City starlet Daniel Arzani, could the World Cup's youngest player be rewarded with a starting position against France? Dimitri Petratos and Andrew Nabbout complete the abundance of left-sided attacking options for the Caltex Socceroos.

STRIKER
Andrew Nabbout received a four consecutive start under van Marwijk against Hungary, with three of his starts seeing the former Hyundai A-League lead the line.
Tomi Juric, Tim Cahill and Jamie Maclaren are also major options to lead the line against Les Bleus.
Will van Marwijk persist with Nabbout as the energetic presence? Or will Cahill's inarguable tournament record see him be given the chance to do it again on the biggest stage? Or will the Dutchman hand Juric a start after he returned to full fitness, with Maclaren's predatory instincts another option to cause an upset in our Group C opener.
