James Jeggo is the latest Australian to ply his trade in Scotland after completing a move to Hibernian FC until June 2024.
Jeggo, who has 15 appearances for the Subway Socceroos, arrives at Easter Road from Belgian side K.A.S Eupen where he had spent the previous year.
An experienced holding midfielder, the 30-year-old has enjoyed a successful career in Europe since departing Adelaide United in 2016.
In addition to his time in Belgium, Jeggo has enjoyed stints with Sturm Graz and Austria Wien in Austria as well as Aris in the Superleague Greece.
After Jeggo became the club's first signing of the January transfer window, Hibs boss Lee Johnson hailed his experience.
“Jimmy is a very good communicator, will help our organisation both with and without the ball, and will aid the solidarity of the team," he told the club's official website.
“He’s mobile, a good athlete, and is technically good. You need players like him in a successful team.
“He will bring extra experience to the squad, and we look forward to working with him.”
