Jedinak shows class with fan gesture

Former Caltex Socceroos captain Mile Jedinak has once again shown his class, making a young Aston Villa fan’s day after their match against Rotherham United.

Villa came from behind to defeat the Millers 2-1 on Thursday morning (AET) despite going down to 10 men with almost an hour left to play.

Jedinak entered the fray at the New York Stadium shortly after the red card to Tyrone Mings as the Villans took the lead with two goals in the space of three minutes.

But it were Jedinak’s actions post-match that caught the attention of supporters.

The 34-year old accompanied his teammates as they thanked the away support but went one step further when he took his jersey off before throwing it to a young fan.

The look on his face said it all, reaffirming just why Jedinak is one of football’s most liked figures.
