The curtains may come down on Tim Cahill's Caltex Socceroos career at ANZ Stadium on Tuesday night, but he leaves behind a whole host of remarkable records.
As the new generation push their cases to be part of Graham Arnold's future plans in the friendly with Lebanon, Cahill will come on around the 85th minute to bid farewell to his adoring fans.
And what he will have left behind is a collection of unprecedented achievements from a career which spans two decades.
Most notably, Cahill retires from international football as the Caltex Socceroos greatest ever goalscorer.
Not only does he top the scoring charts but he does so by some considerable distance, with his tally of 50 goals being 21 more than second-placed Damian Mori.
Many of those have come on the biggest of stages as well, with his five World Cup goals being another Caltex Socceroos record.
Indeed, Cahill is part of an elite club in scoring at three different FIFA World Cup finals, with only legends Miroslav Klose, Cristiano Ronaldo, Uwe Seeler and Pelé surpassing that tally.
The former Millwall and Everton star's trademark aerial prowess earned him another record as the only Caltex Socceroo to score a header at a World Cup, although he may be best remembered for his thunderous left-footed volley against Netherlands in 2014.
He has also scored against a vast array on international opponents, netting against 28 different nations.
The 38-year-old is just one of two international centurions for the Caltex Socceroos but will fall one short of Mark Schwarzer’s caps record of 109.
Cahill also netted in the Caltex Socceroos' only previous meeting with Lebanon and you wouldn't put it past him repeating the feat during his Tuesday night cameo.
