Cahill calm ahead of 'surreal' Caltex Socceroos swansong

The Caltex Socceroos are just hours away from kick-off against Lebanon at ANZ Stadium at Sydney Olympic Park.

Ahead of the fixture, which will double as Tim Cahill's official farewell as an Australian national team player, FFA's media unit spoke briefly with the Jamshedpur FC attacker.

"I am feeling quite relaxed," Cahill said.

"We had a good little walk around the pitch [this morning], went through some set plays, the boys are ready, preparation has been good and mentally and physically we are all ready.

"I can't thank everyone enough. I am trying to respond here and there [to social media messages] but come game time now I just want everyone in Australia to know how much I appreciate this moment, the support.

"It will be very special.

"But it's surreal that I am standing here and tonight's going to be my last ever game [for the Socceroos].

"I am sure all the emotions will come out later tonight but right now I am relaxed and calm."
