Aussies Abroad Preview: Mooy vs Behich in Scotland

It's another big weekend of Aussies Abroad action as Aaron Mooy's Celtic face Aziz Behich's Dundee in the Scottish Premiership while Denis Genreau and Trent Sainsbury will be looking to continue their unbeaten starts to the season.

United Kingdom

Starting in Scotland, where Aaron Mooy and Celtic will be hoping to continue their winning start to the season when they face Aziz Behich's Dundee United on Sunday at 9pm (AEST). 

While Celtic have won all four of their Scottish Premiership matches so far this season, Dundee are searching for their first win and are in desperate need of points to climb off the foot of the ladder. 

Elsewhere in Scotland, Nathaniel Atkinson and Kye Rowles' Heart of Midlothian host St. Johnstone on Monday at 12am (AEST) while Martin Boyle and Olyroo Lewis Miller could be in action when Hibernian face St. Mirren on Sunday at 12am (AEST). 

Hearts will be looking to bounce back after crashing out of the UEFA Europa League play-offs with a 1-0 loss against FC Zurich on Friday. Rowles started the match and played 90 minutes while Atkinson was an unused substitute. 


In England, Riley McGree and Middlesbrough are looking for their first win of the Championship season when they host Swansea City on Sunday at 12am (AEST). 

Elsewhere in the Championship, Kenny Dougall could be in action when Blackpool host Bristol City on Sunday at 12am (AEST) while Bailey Wright's Sunderland host Norwich City on Saturday at 9:30pm (AEST). 

In Olyroos Abroad news, Cameron Peupion made his senior debut for Brighton & Hove Albion culminated as the Seagulls sauntered to a 3-0 EFL Cup win at League One Forest Green. Peupion came off the bench in the 80th minute to claim an assist for Brighton’s third in what proved a memorable debut.


Tyrese Francois will be looking to make a Premier League appearance when Fulham travel to Arsenal on Sunday at 2:30am (AEST). Francois also started and played 90 minutes as Fulham were knocked out of the Carabao Cup against Crawley Town on Tuesday. 

In the Championship, goalkeeper Jacob Chapman could feature on the bench when Huddersfield host West Brom on Sunday at 12am (AEST). 

In League Two, Lachlan Brook will be looking for another start when Crewe Alexandra FC travel to Bradford City on Sunday at 12am (AEST). 

Europe

Starting in Denmark, where Mat Ryan started as F.C. Copenhagen ground out a 0-0 draw with Trabzonspor in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off on Thursday. The result means Copenhagen advance to the group stage of the tournament after going through 2-1 on aggregate. 


Ryan will be in action again when F.C. Copenhagen face FC Nordsjælland on Monday at 12am (AEST) in the Danish Superliga. Copenhagen are currently four points off top position in fourth. 

Elsewhere in the Danish Superliga, Joel King's Odense Boldklub will be looking to record back-to-back wins when they travel to Silkeborg on Monday at 2am (AEST).

King was an unused substitute as Odense ground out their first win of the season with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Horsens on Monday. 

In Spain, where Awer Mabil and Cádiz CF are looking for their first win of the LaLiga season when they host Athletic Club on Tuesday at 4am (AEST). 


In Italy, Fran Karacic and Brescia Calcio will be looking to bounce back from their last Serie B defeat when they play Como on Tuesday at 4:45am (AEST). 

After losing 2-0 in their last 2. Bundesliga outing,  Jackson Irvine and Connor Metcalfe will be hoping St. Pauli can bounce back against Paderborn on Saturday at 9:00pm (AEST). 

Elsewhere in Germany, Ajdin Hrustic could be in action when Eintracht Frankfurt face Werder Breman on Monday at 1:30am (AEST). 

In France, Toulouse and Denis Genreau will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season when they play Nantes on Sunday at 9pm (AEST). 

In Belgium, Jason Davidson and James Jeggo's K.A.S. Eupen face off against Westerlo on Monday at 5am (AEST). Jeggo returned from injury in Eupen's last Belgian Pro League league match by coming off the bench in the 81st minute. 

In Olyroos abroad news, Alou Kuol could feature for VfB Stuttgart II on Saturday at 10pm (AEST) when they host Hoffenheim II on matchday four of the Regionalliga Südwest while  Josh Rawlins could be in action for Jong FC Utrecht in the Eerste Divisie on Tuesday at 4am (AEST) when they host Willem II.

Asia & The Middle East

Starting in Qatar, where Trent Sainsbury lined up and played 90 minutes for Al-Wakrah on Tuesday as they beat Qatar SC 3-0. Sainsbury will be in action again when Al-Wakrah face Markhiya on Tuesday at 12:10am (AEST). 

In Japan, Mitch Duke's Fagiano Okayama face Gunma on Sunday at 8:30pm (AEST). Fagiano were undefeated in seven matches until their last defeat against Yokohama FC so they will be looking to bounce back and jump from fourth position on the ladder. 

Elsewhere in Japan, Adam Taggart's Cerezo Osaka will return to action after postponed matches due to the approach of Tropical Storm Meari. Cerezo face Sanfrecce Hiroshima on Saturday at 8pm (AEST) as they chase down a top three finish in the J1 League. 

The United States

Finishing with Major League Soccer, where Socceroos defender Miloš Degenek and his Columbus Crew side will be in action when they face Cincinnati on Sunday at 9:30am (AEST).  Currently in seventh on the MLS Eastern Conference, Columbus are looking to solidify their final series play-off position.
