Chris Ikonomidis believes his first goal for AGF will take the pressure off and see him make more of an impact for the Danish club.
The Socceroos winger joined AGF on loan from Lazio on the final day of the European summer transfer window but has yet to nail down a regular starting spot in Aarhus.
But on Wednesday, Ikonomidis played 90 minutes on the left wing in AGF's 3-1 win over third-tier club Holbaek in the DBU Pokal, with the Australian setting up his side's second goal and scoring the third.

The victory took AGF into the fourth round of the national cup competition.
"I think now mentally I'm more free and hopefully… the goals [will] now start rolling in and that will really help the team and it will also help my performance," he told AGF TV on Thursday.
Ikonomidis and fellow Australian Mustafa Amini were lively throughout the midweek triumph.
The Lazio loanee's low cross was turned past Holbaek's goalkeeper by striker Kasper Junker to give AGF a 2-1 lead at half-time.
Then in the 90th minute, Amini's brilliant first-time chip over the home side's defence released Ikonomidis and the latter fired his shot into the bottom corner.
"I've been training the last couple of weeks on my finishing with the coaches - doing extra work after training - so it [makes me] happy to finally see your work and see the rewards you get from it," Ikonomidis said.
The 21-year-old has played seven matches in all competitions since joining AGF in September and has started four.
AGF face Esbjerg - home of Australians Awer Mabil and Brent McGrath - in the Danish Superliga on Monday.
