Aussies Abroad Preview: Ryan & Mooy's chance for PL bounce back

From a scorching forty degrees in Kuwait to a gentle twenty on the south coast of England.

The temperature might be dropping for stars Maty Ryan and Aaron Mooy, but the heat will be back on the Caltex Socceroos duo when the Premier League returns this Sunday morning.

Brighton and Hove Albion's Australian duo welcome the test of Burnley to the AMEX at 12:00am AEST Sunday morning, with each side desperate for a win to kick start their league campaign.

Both sides return from the international break on four points each, and have not tasted victory since the opening day of the season.

After a bright start to the Championship season, Sheffield Wednesday have suffered two defeats in a row. Massimo Luongo's side will be desperate to avoid a third against Huddersfield Town when that one gets underway at 9:00pm on Sunday evening.

Elsewhere in the English second divison, Jackson Irvine's Hull City host Wigan Athletic at 12:00am on Sunday.

Meanwhile, it is Mark Milligan versus Harry Souttar in League One as Southend United entertain Fleetwood Town at Roots Hall.

Milligan missed Australia's 3-0 victory over Kuwait on Wednesday morning with a knock, and he's set to be assessed before the action kicks off at 12:00am on Sunday.

Meanwhile, in Germany...

Fresh from his midweek double against Kuwait, Mathew Leckie returns to Hertha Berlin with the Bundesliga outfit aiming to kick start their campaign away to Mainz.

After a superb opening day draw with Bayern Munich, Leckie's side have lost 3-0 to Wolfsburg and Schalke. Kick off against Mainz is Saturday 11:30pm.

Brandon Borrello, of Freiburg, travels to Hoffenheim with kick off also taking place at 11:30pm on Saturday evening. Borrello's side have won two of their first three Bundesliga matches.

Young Australian striker John Iredale is in action shortly after, with his Wolfsburg II team hosting Jeddeloh in the Regionalliga at Sunday 12:00am.

In Turkey, Aziz Behich and Istanbul Basaksehir are turning their eye toward the start of the UEFA Europa League.

A trip to AS Roma next Friday morning is the first up assignment for Istanbul, but before that, all attention is on the arrival of Sivasspor in the league on Sunday. That Turkish Super Lig encounter commences at 12:00am.

Over in Denmark, FC Midtjylland and Awer Mabil are on top of the Danish Superliga. They'll look to preserve their lead at the summit with three points against Lyngby, with that one getting underway on Sunday at 10:00pm.

Meanwhile Mustafa Amini and Alex Gersbach's AGF side host AaB Aalborg two hours earlier, at 8:00pm.

In Austria, James Jeggo and Austria Wien venture to Wolfsberg on Monday morning 1:00am.

Tom Rogic and Daniel Arzani's Celtic are in action against Hamilto away, on Saturday at 9:00pm.

Suwon Bluewings have a Korean FA Cup Semi-final date with Hwaseong to look forward to on Wednesday but first up, Adam Taggart's side face Seongnam on Sunday at 8:00pm. Watch out for Terry Antonis in that one too. 

In Japan, Mitch Langerak's Nagoya Grampus travel to Shimizu S-Pulse on Friday evening at 8:30pm and in Saudi Arabia, Craig Goodwin and Al-Wehda face Al Ahli on Sunday 3:45am.

And in America...

Finally, Stateside, Brad Smith's Seattle Sounders welcome New York Red Bulls to CenturyLink Field on Monday morning, 8:00am kick off.
