WATCH: Red-hot Taggart fires Suwon to victory in Korea

Caltex Socceroos striker Adam Taggart is now the leading scorer in the K-League after scoring a match-winning double for Suwon Bluewings on Wednesday night.

Taggart scored early in each half as Suwon prevailed 3-2 over Incheon United at Sungui Arena Park.

The brace took the 26-year-old’s tally to 11 goals in just 20 outings for Suwon in all competitions since his move from Hyundai A-League side Brisbane Roar in February.

10 of those goals have come in the league, shooting Taggart to the top of the goalscoring charts ahead of Serbia’s Aleksandar Pesic and Korean Kim Shin-wook (both nine).

Taggart’s goals against Incheon showed the different talents of the in-form Aussie striker.

His first inside six minutes showed his penalty-area instinct, sliding in at the near post to tap-in from close range.

But his second goal within a minute of the second-half restart was from distance.

Capitalising on a defensive error, Taggart swooped on a loose, bouncing ball and hit a peach of a volley from 25 metres out which nestled in the corner of the net.
