Subway Socceroos Squad Update – March FIFA Men's International Window

Subway Socceroos, Jordan Bos and Riley McGree have been ruled out of Australia’s second World Cup Qualifier against Lebanon due to injury.

McGree (foot) came from the field in the early stages of the Subway Socceroos 2-0 victory over Lebanon at CommBank Stadium on Thursday evening.

Bos – who came on to replace McGree – injured his knee just before half-time and was also forced from the field.

Both McGree and Bos were sent for scans following the match, with the Subway Socceroos medical team now in consultation with Middlesborough (McGree) and KVC Westerlo (Bos) on treatment plans, while transitioning the players back into the care of their respective clubs.

There has been no return to play timelines set for either player, with both Bos and McGree to be reviewed by club medical staff on their return.

Keanu Baccus will also miss the Subway Socceroos’ game at GIO Stadium due to suspension, after picking up his second yellow card during the qualification process.

Joel King (Sydney FC) has been called into the squad and will travel to Canberra, meanwhile Craig Goodwin (virus) has recovered and will be available for selection.

The Subway Socceroos FIFA World Cup 2026™ Qualifiers will be broadcast live thanks to Football Australia’s broadcast partner, 10 Paramount.
