O'Neill is expected to miss at least the next four weeks, meaning he will be unavailable for Socceroos selection in the March FIFA Men’s International Window.

Australia take on Lebanon in Sydney and Canberra respectively as its FIFA World Cup 2026™ Second Round AFC Qualifiers resume.

In his maiden season with the Reds, O'Neill has accumulated 25 appearances and scored one goal.

Standard currently lie 10th on the league table with 31 points.
