For the last 13 years, Bailey has been based in the United Kingdom, plying his trade in some of the most physically tough leagues in the world.

While millions of people across the globe watched the Netflix documentary Sunderland Till I Die, Bailey is one of very few who have witnessed and been a part of Sunderland’s rebuild after joining the club in 2020.

The Socceroos defender talks through his football experiences at the Black Cats, while also delving into his interests off the field, which currently includes a study on Football Australia as part of his MSC in Sports Directorship.

Bailey talks through some of his fondest Socceroos memories and reacts to being dubbed one of the nicest players in camp, but he also explains what it is like to deal with heartbreaking moments like missing out on the World Cup and how they have added fuel to his desire to always get better.
