Socceroos' latest FIFA World Ranking revealed

The Socceroos have moved up one place in the FIFA World Rankings after they were released for the first time in five months.

The Socceroos have climbed up into no. 41 in the latest world rankings, equal with Iceland.

Graham Arnold’s side have moved up one spot despite not playing a match since their World Cup qualifying win in Jordan last November.

The Socceroos are not scheduled to play any qualifiers this year with the Asian Football Confederation having postponed all qualification games until 2021.

They retain their ranking as the fourth best country in Asia with South Korea just ahead of the green and gold in 39th position while Iran moved up three places into 30th and Japan’s ranking remained unchanged at 28th.

Belgium have kept hold of the number one ranking ahead of France (2) and Brazil (3) while Portugal have broken into the top five.

The next world rankings will be published on 22 October 2020.
