Socceroos midfielder Mustafa Amini has confirmed his departure from Danish club AGF Aarhus following the completion of the 2019/20 Superliga Season.
Amini, while he missed the final few games of the season, helped the side claim their first top-three finish in the league in 23 years.
The 27-year-old - who joined the club in 2016 - made over 131 appearances for the club, cementing himself as a regular starter in the side.
He scored 12 goals and provided 18 assists along the way, leading to a first Socceroos cap in 2017.
Amini posted a farewell message via his official Instagram account.
"Dear AGF Aarhus, from the bottom of my heart I want to say a big thank you for the last 4 years of my life," said Amini.
"I’m so proud and happy to have been able to represent you. It’s been a pleasure to be able to go out onto Ceres Park and fight for you week in & week out.
"To ALL my team mates throughout the years, thank you for your friendships, laughter & money.
"To the club coaches, medical staff, administrators, sponsors and everyone involved in this beautiful club a big thank you.
"It isn’t easy for me to say goodbye, but in football and in life you never know what will happen so it’s a see you next time. I wish you all the best in the future and hope for plenty of success and medals in the coming years.
"To the fans well what can I say... I love you guys each and everyone of you. A big thank you for the support you have given me throughout my time through the lows & highs. You guys are amazing.
"I came here as a player and I’m leaving as a big fan of AGF Aarhus."
