The Caltex Socceroos take a vital step in their preparations for the AFC Asian Cup 2019 when they meet Korea Republic at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday evening.
The fixture is one of the final chances for Graham Arnold’s side to fine-tune before next year’s showpiece event in the United Arab Emirates.
Australia, of course, will try and defend their AFC Asian Cup 2015 triumph, which came in a thrilling final against Korea Republic.
James Troisi’s extra-time goal settled the contest on that occasion but Korea Republic will head into this friendly in strong form, with a five-match unbeaten run highlighted by victories against Germany and Uruguay.
