Graham Arnold's side topped Group B with seven points after 2-0 and 1-0 wins against India and Syria respectively before playing out a 1-1 stalemate with Uzbekistan.

Meanwhile, Indonesia, ranked 146th, finished as one of the best third place teams after amassing three points in Group D behind Iraq and Japan.
