FA Cup draw: Mooy, Ryan to face Championship opposition

Caltex Socceroos Aaron Mooy and Mat Ryan have both been drawn against Championship opposition after the draw for the Fourth Round of the FA Cup was held on Tuesday (AEDT).

Mooy’s Huddersfield Town will fancy their chances of progressing after drawing Championship strugglers Birmingham City in a home tie.

Ryan’s Brighton and Hove Albion, who defeated fellow EPL club Crystal Palace this morning, have a slightly trickier match-up.

The Seagulls are on the road against promotion-chasing Middlesbrough.

Jackson Irvine’s Hull City will be at home to fellow Championship outfit Nottingham Forest, who upset Arsenal to make it through to round four.

The Australian quartet could be joined in the next round by left-back Brad Smith, whose Bournemouth side have to play a replay against Wigan next on Thursday, January 18 (AEDT).

The Fourth Round FA Cup ties will be played on the weekend of January 27-28.
