Borrello's star on the rise after sensational goal in Germany
Australia's Brandon Borrello continues to push his claims for a national team call-up after he smashed another goal for his German club Kaiserslautern.
Borrello's goal after just seven minutes lit up proceedings for the struggling 2.Bundesliga outfit, who went on to win 4-3 at the Fritz Walter Stadion with Phillipp Mwenne scoring an 86th-minute winner.
Borrello was in the starting XI for his club.
It is a venue that's witnessed great Aussie goals before after Australia defeated Japan 3-1 in the 2006 World Cup, with two goals from Tim Cahill and one from John Aloisi.
The 22-year-old is in excellent form, having also scored against Darmstadt and Holstein Kiel in recent weeks.
