Bailey Wright departs Bristol City

Socceroos defender Bailey Wright took to social media on Friday morning to confirm his departure from English Championship club Bristol City.

Wright posted a farewell message on social media to confirm that he had departed Bristol City after his contract expired on June 30.

The central defender joined the Robins in January 2017 and made 83 appearances for the club before joining Sunderland on a six month loan deal in January.

“My time at @bristolcityfc has officially come to an end,” Wright said.

“Big thanks to everyone involved in the club over the years, so many good memories shared with so many great people!”

Throughout his three and a half year stay at the club he was also given the honour of captaining his side, an accolade he will not forget anytime soon.

“It’s been an honour to of captained this club and will be a Bristol city supporter for life. Best wishes,” he said.
