Aussies Abroad Wrap: Boyle & Baccus score, Rogic makes West Brom debut

It was another bumper weekend of Aussies Abroad action as Martin Boyle scored another goal for Hibernian, Keanu Baccus scored his second St Mirren goal and Tom Roc Made his West Brom debut.

United Kingdom

Starting in Scotland, where Martin Boyle started, played 90 mins and scored a goal as Hibernian defeated Aberdeen 3-1 on Saturday. 

Boyle thumped home a powerful shot from a low cross into the box to score his fourth goal of the campaign 11 minutes from time to keep Hibs in fourth place above Aberdeen.


Lewis Miller was also an unused substitute. 

Fresh from making his Subway Socceroos debut, Keanu Baccus was in fine form as St Mirren defeated Livingston 2-1 on Satuday.

Baccus opened the scoring for St Mirren with a superb header from Ryan Flynn's cross in the 69 minute while Ryan Strain came off the bench in the 60th minute but was replaced seven minutes later due to an injury. 

Aziz Behich also played 90 minutes as Dundee United lost 2-1 against Ryan McGowan's St Johnstone on Sunday.

Elsewhere in Scotland, Aaron Mooy came off the bench in the 91st minute as Celtic bounced back with a 2-1 win over Motherwell on Sunday.

Cameron Devlin also started but then got red carded in the 39th minute as Hearts lost 0-4 to Rangers in the Scottish Pemiership. Nathaniel Atkinson was an unused substitute. 

In England, Tom Rogic made his first West Brom appearance with a full league debut on Saturday in the Championship against Swansea City. 

The Subway Socceroos midfielder started and played 57 minutes as West Brom lost 3-2 against Swansea. 


Riley McGree came off the bench in the 74th minute as Middlesbrough lost 1-0 to Coventry on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Kenny Dougall started and played a full game as Blackpool lost 2-1 against  Milwall on Saturday. Blackpool are battling of late and sit only one point out of the relegation zone.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Bailey Wright was an unused substitute as Sunderland drew 0-0 with Preston on Sunday.

In Olyroos Abroad news, goalkeeper Nick Bilokapic featured on the bench as Huddersfield lost 3-1 against Reading on Sunday.

In League Two, goalkeeper Jacob Chapman played in Salford City's 1-1 draw against face Grimsby Town on Sunday.

Europe

Starting in Denmark, where Mat Ryan lined up in goal as FC Copenhagen beat AGF 1-0 on Monday at 3am (AEST) as they bounced back from defeat in their last Danish Superliga match.

In Germany, Connor Metcalfe came off the bench in the 59th minute as St. Pauli drew 0-0 with Heidenheim on Sunday.

In Italy's Serie B, Fran Karačić started and played 90 mins as Brescia lost 2-6 against Bari. Brescia currently sit in 3rd place on the table.

In France, Denis Genreau was an unused sub as Toulouse lost 2-1 against Lille in Ligue 1. Genreau has made four appearances from eight games off the bench and is yet to get his first start in France's top flight. 

In Belgium, Jason Davidson and James Jeggo both started and played 90 minutes as K.A.S. Eupen beat STVV 1-0 on Monday.


In Spain, Awer Mabil was an unused sub as Cadiz gained a much-needed point by drawing 0-0 against Villarreal on Saturday. 

Tyrese Francois started and played 90 minutes as HNK Gorica drew 1-1 with Sibenik on Monday in the Croatian Football League. 

In Olyroos abroad news, Alou Kuol started and played 69 minutes as VfB Stuttgart II drew 0-0 with FC 08 Homburg on Saturday.

Asia & The Middle East

Starting in the J1 League, where Mitch Langerak started and played 90 minutes as Nagoya Grampus suffered a disappointing 4-0 loss against Kevin Muscat's Yokohama F.Marinos on Saturday.

Elsewhere in the J1 League, Adam Taggart started but came off in the 71st min as Cerezo Osaka drew 1-1 against Shonan Bellmare on Saturday.

In the J2 League, Mitch Duke played 90 minutes for Fagiano Okayama as they lost 3-1 to Kanazawa on Sunday.

In the K1 League, Harrison Delbridge started and played 90 mins as Incheon United lost 3-0 against Ulsan Hyundai on Saturday. 

The United States

Finishing with Major League Soccer, where Subway Socceroos defender Miloš Degenek started and played another 90 minutes as Columbus Crew beat New York Redbulls 2-1 on Sunday.
