Aussies Abroad Preview: Socceroos return to club action

In the Premier League, Harry Souttar is likely to feature when Leicester City travel to Crystal Palace on Sunday at 1am (AEDT).

The 24-year-old left camp early to recover from an ankle knock he picked up against Ecuador in Sydney, but is expected to be available.

17th-placed Leicester, who drew their last match after four straight league defeats, will be looking over their shoulders with concern as they aim to avoid defeat against 12th-placed Palace. 


In the English Championship, Riley McGree could feature when Middlesbrough travel to Huddersfield on Sunday at 1am (AEDT).

Boro are just three points behind second-placed Sheffield United as they chase automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Bailey Wright could also appear in Rotherham United's tie against e Callum Elder's Hull City on Sunday at 1am (AEDT).

Elsewhere in the Championship, Kenny Dougall could be in action when Blackpool face Preston on Saturday at 10:30pm (AEDT).

Tom Rogic's West Brom also face Millwall on Sunday at 1am (AEDT).

In League One, Massimo Luongo could be in line to feature for Ipswich Town FC when they face Derby County on Sunday at 1am (AEDT).

In Premier League 2 Division 1, Alexander Robertson could feature for Manchester City U21 when they face Tottenham Hotspur U21 on Tuesday at 3am (AEST).

In Scotland, Aaron Mooy could return from injury when Celtic face Ross County on Sunday at 9pm (AEST).

It has been a relentless season for the Hoops, who have dropped four points all year. And their strong home form - winning every game - has proven a sturdy platform.


Elsewhere in the Scottish Premiership, Cameron DevlinKye Rowles, Nathaniel Atkinson and Garang Kuol could also be in action when Heart of Midlothian face Kilmarnock on Sunday at 1am (AEDT).

Keanu Baccus and Ryan Strain are also likely to play when St Mirren face Livingston on Sunday at 1am (AEDT).

It does not get any easier for Aziz Behich's Dundee United on Sunday at 1am (AEDT) when they face second placed Rangers. 

James Jeggo's Hibernian will also be in action when they play Motherwell on Sunday at 1am (AEDT) while Ryan McGowan's St Johnstone take on Aberdeen on Sunday at 1am (AEDT).

In the Scottish Championship, Dylan McGowan is likely to feature in Hamilton Academical's match against Dundee on Sunday at 1am (AEDT). 

In the Netherlands, where Maty Ryan AZ Alkmaar's face Heerenveen on Sunday at 1:30am (AEDT). After a loss in their last match, AZ have slipped to fourth in the Eredivisie, two points off second. 

In Germany, both Connor Metcalfe and Jackson Irvine will be looking to continue their impressive run of form when St Pauli travel to Jahn Regensburg on Saturday at 10pm (AEDT) in the 2. Bundesliga. 

Irvine has been in fantastic form of late with four goals and an assist in his last five matches as St Pauli extended their winning run to eight games in a row. 

In Czechia, Awer Mabil could be in action for AC Sparta Prague against Brno on Monday at 12am (AEST). 

In France's Ligue 1, Denis Genreau could be in action when Toulouse FC host Brest on Sunday at 11pm (AEDT).

In Serie B, Fran Karacic could feature when Brescia Calcio face Ascoli Saturday at 11pm (AEDT). Brescia are last in Serie B and in desperate need of three points to jump out of the relegation zone. 

In Belgium, Jason Davidson's KAS Eupen face Anderlecht in the Belgian Pro League on Monday at 12am (AEST). KAS Eupen are 15th in the league, three points above the drop zone. 

In Norway, Nick D'Agostino is a chance to feature alongside Gianni Stensness when Viking FK face FK Haugesund on Sunday in a friendly. The Eliteserien kicks off on April 10 when Viking face Rosenborg.


In Austria, James Holland is a chance to be in action for FK Austria Wien in the Austrian Bundesliga play-offs against his former club LASK on Sunday at 10:30pm (AEST). 

The J1 League continues on Saturday at 4pm (AEDT) for Thomas Deng's Albirex Niigata when they face Mitch Langerak's Nagoya Grampus. 

Mitch Duke is expected to feature for Machida Zelvia in the J2 League when they face Fujieda MYFC  on Sunday at 3pm (AEDT). Duke has started every game for Machida so far this season as they sit joint top of the table. 

The K1 League also continues with Harrison Delbridge's Incheon United in action against Daegu on Saturday at 6:30pm (AEDT). 

Over to Qatar, where Trent Sainsbury is likely to appear again when Al-Wakrah SC face Al Sadd on Sunday at 4:45am (AEST).

In the Israeli Premier League play-offs, Nikita Rukavytsya could appear for Maccabi Haifa when they face H. Beer-Sheva on Sunday at 3am (AEDT). 

The MLS season also continues with Milos Degenek likely to feature again for Columbus Crew against Real Salt Lake on Sunday at 10am (AEST). Columbus picked up three points with a 6-1 win over Atlanta United on Sunday. 

Elsewhere in the US, Brad Smith could also be in action when Houston Dynamo FC face San Jose on Sunday at 12:30am (AEST), while Alex Gersbach could feature for Colorado Rapids again when they face LAFC on Sunday at 11:30pm (AEST).

In the English Championship, goalkeeper Nicholas Bilokapic is likely to be on the bench when Huddersfield face Middlesbrough on Sunday at 1am (AEDT). 

In League One, Caleb Watts could be in action for Morecambe against Barnsley on Sunday at 1am (AEDT).

In League Two, Lachlan Brook could return to action with Crewe Alexandra when they face Doncaster on Sunday at 1am (AEDT).

In the Professional Development League, Matt Dench could appear for Charlton Athletic U21 when they face Wigan Athletic U21 on Monday at 11pm (AEST). 

In the German 3. Liga, John Iredale started and played 63 minutes as SV Wehen Wiesbaden lost 4-2 to Friegburg II on Thursday.

He could feature again in Germany's 3. Liga when SV Wehen Wiesbaden face Zwickau on Saturday at 11pm (AEDT).  

In the German Regionalliga West, Jacob Italiano is likely to feature for Borussia Mönchengladbach II against Alemannia Aachen on Sunday at 10pm (AEDT).


In Scotland, Lewis Miller could be in action when Hibernian face Motherwell on Sunday at 1am (AEDT). 

In Premier League 2 Division 1, Cameron Peupion is likely to feature when Brighton & Hove Albion U21 face Liverpool U21 on Monday at 11pm (AEST). 

In Norway, Patrick Yazbek could appear for Viking FK against FK Haugesund on Sunday in a friendly. The Eliteserien kicks off on April 10 when Viking face Rosenborg.

Dylan Ryan could also be in action in the Eerste Divisie when FC Den Bosch face Willem II on Sunday at 8:15pm (AEST).
