Aussies Abroad: Rogic claims Scottish League Cup with Celtic

Tom Rogic helped Celtic FC claim their first piece of silverware under Ange Postecoglou with a 2-1 come-from-behind win in the Scottish League Cup Final on Monday morning (AEDT).

Facing off against fellow Socceroo Martin Boyle, Rogic assisted the winning goal scored by Kyogo Furuhashi in the 72nd minute against Hibernian.

The scores were level going into the break, before Boyle sent in the corner that lead to Paul Hanlon opening the scoring in the 51st minute.

However, Hibs' lead lasted under a minute as Kyogo scored an immediate equaliser, before a delightful chip from Rogic's pass proved to be the eventual winner.

It was Rogic's 15th trophy with Celtic, but first under former Socceroos boss Postecoglou.

Meanwhile, in the title race, Celtic remain second on the table seven points behind Rangers, but now with a game in hand.
