ROGIC’S LATE INJECTION

Tom Rogic was introduced late on as Celtic downed Motherwell 2-0 in the Scottish Cup Final.

Second-half goals to James Forrest and Moussa Dembele secured a comfortable victory for Brendan Rodgers side, with Motherwell’s Cedric Kipre shown a red card just before the hour mark.

Rogic had a late chance for the hosts but his long-range effort was well saved by Trevor Carson.

ANOTHER STALEMATE FOR KRUSE IN GERMANY

Robbie Kruse played a full game as VfL Bochum's secured a 1-1 draw away to Aue.

It was a fourth straight draw for Kruse's club who sit 15th in Germany’s 2. Bundesliga.

NO JOY FOR VUKA IN BELGIUM

Danny Vukovic conceded twice as Genk's unbeaten run of eight matches was snapped by St. Liege in Belgium's Jupiler League.

Goals in the 15th and 81st minutes were enough for Genk to lose 2-0, but they remain eighth on the ladder after 16 league matches.

RARE LOSS FOR GERSBACH

Alex Gersbach came off the bench in Rosenborg's latest outing in Norway's Eliteserien.

With his side trailing 1-0 at Odd, the Caltex Socceroos fullback was introduced, but couldn't help his side find an equaliser.

Despite the defeat, Rosenborg remain seven points clear at the top of the table.
