Aussies Abroad: Boyle and Sainsbury score while Langerak's perfect start continues

A Martin Boyle penalty helped Hibernian to a vital victory against Jackson Irvine's former club, while a third-straight clean sheet for Mitch Langerak saw Nagoya Grampus make it four wins from four to kick off the J.League season.

Another round and another clean sheet for Mitch Langerak as his Nagoya Grampus ran out 1-0 winners against Vissel Kobe in the J League on Saturday.

A third consecutive clean sheet for Langerak has seen his side get off to the perfect start to the season as they made it four wins on the bounce.

Martin Boyle and Jackson Irvine were on the winning side as their Hibernian came from behind to snatch all three points against Ross County in the Scottish Premiership.

Boyle was on hand to score the equaliser from the penalty spot for his side while Irvine put in a full shift in the heart of midfield.

James Jeggo's Aris FC held onto second spot in the Greek Super League as the Socceroos midfielder played another 90 minutes during their 1-0 win over OFI Crete. 

In Israel, Nikita Rukavytsya returned to action for Maccabi Haifa, playing 57 minutes in their 2-0 win over bottom-placed club Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv. 

It proved to be a disappointing outfit for Harry Souttar’s Stoke City as they were comfortably beaten 3-0 at Middlesbrough in their Championship clash.

The comprehensive defeat sees Souttar’s side drop out of the top ten and places a huge dent in their playoff aspirations.

Mathew Leckie came on in the 59th minute for Hertha Berlin as they fell to a 2-0 defeat at Borussia Dortmund in their Bundesliga affair.

Over to Belgium where Trent Sainsbury got on the scoresheet for Kortrijk in their 2-1 friendly win over Oostende.

In the Turkish SuperLig, Aziz Behich and his Kayserispor were outdone 3-0 at home to Galatasaray on Saturday.

This latest defeat put an end to a two match winning streak which had seen Behich’s side jump up in the standings.

In Denmark, Awer Mabil's Midjtylland drew 0-0 with FC Kobenhavn, with the Socceroos winger introduced inside the final quarter of an hour. 

Brandon Borrello entered the action in the 70th minute for Fortuna Dusseldorf as they shared the points in a 0-0 stalemate with Sandhausen.

In League One, Kenny Dougall played the full match in the heart of midfield for Blackpool as they were held to a goalless draw against Fleetwood Town on Saturday.

Maty Ryan was an unused substitute for Arsenal as they recorded a morale-boosting 2-1 North London Derby victory over Tottenham, while injury forced Bailey Wright to watch on from the sidelines as his Sunderland teammates took home the Papa John's Trophy after a memorable victory at Wembley.
