Aussies Abroad: D'Agostino scores and assists, Kuol makes Eredivisie debut

Nick D'Agostino scored his third goal of the Eliteserien season in Norway while Garang Kuol came off the bench to debut for Volendam in the Netherlands.

Starting in Norway, where the Eliteserien continued for Nick D'Agostino Viking Fotballklubb. The 25-year-old striker played 88 minutes, scored a goal, and registered an assist in their 3-1 win over Lillestrøm SK on Monday. 

In the Netherlands, Garang Kuol came on in the 66th minute to make his debut for Volendam in a 2-1 loss against SBV Vitesse on Saturday after sealing a loan move from Newcastle United last week. 

Elsewhere in the Netherlands, Maty Ryan also started for AZ Alkmaar in their 5-1 win over Go Ahead Eagles as they kicked off the Eredivisie season with three points on Monday.

Over to England, where Riley McGree came on in the 81st minute while Subway Olyroo Sammy Silvera played a full game as Middlesbrough lost 3-0 to Coventry City to suffer a second consecutive Championship loss to open the season. Tom Glover was also on the bench for Boro.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Massimo Luongo came off in the 91st minute for Ipswich Town while fellow Aussie Cameron Burgess played a full game in a 2-0 win over Stoke City on Sunday.

In League One, Alex Robertson came on in the 61st minute while fellow Aussie Kusini Yengi came on in the 85th and grabbed a goal from the penalty spot in a 4-0 win over Leyton Orient on Sunday.

Elsewhere in League One, Kenny Dougall came on in the 66th minute for Blackpool in a 0-0 win draw against Exeter City on Sunday.

Callum Elder also came on in the 91st minute for Derby in a 3-0 win over Burton on Sunday in League One. 

Over to Scotland, where Martin Boyle came off the bench at half time while James Jeggo started and played 71 minutes as Hibernian lost 2-1 to Motherwell on Monday in the Scottish Premiership.  Olyroo Lewis Miller also started and played 87minutes. 

Kye Rowles also played a full game while Nathaniel Atkinson started and played 78 minutes as Hearts drew 0-0 with Kilmarnock on Monday. Subway Olyroo Calem Nieuwenhof was an unused substitute. 

Elsewhere in the Scottish Premiership, Keanu Baccus and Ryan Strain played full games for St Mirren as they recorded back-to-back wins to start the season with a 2-1 win over Dundee on Sunday. Baccus also put in a man-of-the-match display. 

Ryan McGowan also played a full game for St Johnstone as they lost 2-0 to Ross County on Sunday. 

James Holland also started and played the first half for Austria Vienna in a 2-0 loss to RB Salzburg on Monday.

The Belgian First Division A continued for the third matchday as Jordan Bos started and played 84 minutes for KVC Westerlo as they lost 3-1 to Gent on Monday. 

Elsewhere in Belgium, Aiden O'Neill played 90 minutes again for Standard Liege in a 1-1 draw with Royal Charleroi SC on Monday.

Jason Davidson also played 90 minutes again as KAS Eupen lost 5-0 against Club Brugge on Monday. 

Over to Germany, where Jackson Irvine started and played 72 minutes before being replaced by Connor Metcalfe in a 5-0 win for St Pauli over SV Atlas Delmenhorst on Saturday in the DFB-Pokal Cup.

Milos Degenek came off the bench in the 62nd minute for FK Crvena Zvezda in Serbia as they beat FK Mladost Lučani 4-1 on Saturday.

Denis Genreau played 83 minutes for Toulouse as they started the Ligue 1 season with a 2-1 win against Nantes on Sunday.


Over to Asia, where Thomas Deng played a full game for Albirex Niigata in a 2-2 draw with Shonan Bellmare on Saturday in the J1 League. 

Mitch Langerak kept another clean sheet for Nagoya Grampus as they beat Kashima Antlers 1-0 on Sunday in the J1 League.

Mitch Duke came on in the 82nd minute in the J2 League again on Saturday as Machida Zelvia beat Júbilo Iwata 2-1 to extend their lead at the top of the table. 

In the K1 League, Harrison Delbridge played 90 minutes for Incheon United in a 3-1 win over Daegu on Sunday.

Over to Singapore, where Bailey Wright also played a full game for Lion City Sailors as they thumped Hougang 8-2 on Sunday.

Starting in England, where Nicholas Bilokapic helped keep a clean sheet for Peterborough in a 1-0 win over Charlton while Ashley Maynard-Brewer was also in goal for Charlton on Sunday in League One.

Nectarios Triantis was an unused substitute in the Championship as Sunderland lost 2-1 to Preston on Sunday.

Elsewhere in England, Jay Rich-Baghuelou played a full game for Accrington Stanley as they returned to League One action with a 1-0 loss to Gillingham on Sunday. 

In Belgium, Keegan Jelacic could be in the squad for KAA Gent when they face Bos' Westerlo on Monday at 3:15am (AEST)....
