Parma Calcio 1913 have announced young defender Alessandro Circati has renewed his contract with the club until the end of the 2026/27 season.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a breakout season with the Crociati which culminated in a maiden call-up to the Subway Socceroos for Australia's upcoming friendly clash against Argentina in China this Thursday.
Circati joined the the Emilia-Romagna side's youth team in March 2021 from Perth Glory, before going on to make his senior debut a year later.
However, it was the recent 2022/23 campaign where the promising centre-back took another step in his development, accumulating 17 senior appearances across all competitions.
Born in Fidenza, Italy, Circati will now be hoping to represent Australia for the first time, having pledged his allegiance to the country where he spent the bulk of his youth in growing up.
