Aaron Mooy completes transfer to China

Socceroos midfielder Aaron Mooy has completed a permanent transfer to Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG.

Mooy moves to China following five years in England, representing Huddersfield Town and Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Socceroo made 32 appearances for Brighton in 2019/20, helping the side remain in the Premier League.

"Aaron has been an excellent professional during his time with us. From day one with us he fitted in really well," said Brighton head coach Graham Potter.

"I have really enjoyed working with him, and on behalf of everyone at the club I would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him well for the future."

Mooy joins the likes of Brazilian stars Oscar and Hulk at SIPG, as well as Austrian striker Marko Arnautovic and Uzbek midfielder Odil Ahmedov as designated international players.
