Of course, only coach Aleksandr Krestinin knows who'll face our Socceroos and in what formation, but Asian football expert John Duerden has had a go at predicting who'll walk out in Canberra on Thursday night.
The talk in Kyrgyzstan is whether coach Alexander Krestinin will go 4-1-2-3 or 4-4-2. If it is the former, it should be something like this, with a couple of changes from the Socceroos' game in Bishkek in June.
GK: Pavel Matiash - has been fighting it out for the number one spot with rival Valery Kashuba (who started in June), was a mainstay of the all-conquering Dordoi club but now plays in the Maldives. A giant between the sticks and that should mean he gets the nod.
LB: Valerii Kichin – the blond full-back plays in the Russian second division and at the age of 23 is making a name for himself. Reads the game well, likes to shoot from distance though can sometimes find himself out of position.
CB: Azamat Baymatov - the captain and the talisman. Baymatov is comfortable on the ball, takes a good set piece and is a real leader of the team. Plays in Bahrain but is always cool in the desert heat.
CB: Tamirlan Kozubaev – A relatively recent addition to the squad, the Lithuania-based defender is a good old-fashioned centre-back, fearless and almost peerless in the air. Loves nothing more than dealing with a high ball. No frills.
RB: Viktor Maier -Born in Kyrgyzstan but bred in Germany, Maier is another new guy but did feature in the June clash. Strong in the tackle -and in the air- and likes to get forward.
DM: Pavel Sidorenko -A tidy midfielder who does the simple things well and one of a shrinking contingent of players who play in the country's domestic league. Has never really established himself at international level but gives energy and bite while enabling those with more flair to do what they do.
MF: Edgar Bernhardt – The 29 year-old likes to get around on the pitch – can play pretty much anywhere across the midfield - and off it too. His CV includes spells in Germany, Finland, Poland and now Thailand.
MF: Farhat Musabekov –Really made a name for himself in 2014 when the 21 year-old played a major role in FC Abdysh-Ata Kant finished second in both league and cup. Is still finding his feet at international level but has a bright future.
LFW: Mirlan Murzaev – Gave Ivan Franjic some problems in the first game though often switches wings with opposite number Zemlianukhin. Has a look of ex-Aussie fast bowler Glenn McGrath and can be almost as dangerous even if he does lack the consistency. Approach play not always matched by his finishing
FW: Vitalij Lux -Another German-raised star, Lux is trying to establish himself as the main man in the Kyrgyzstan attack after making his debut earlier this year. Plays for Nurnberg's second team, Lux is a physical presence in attack, works hard and leads the line well.
RFW : Anton Zemlianukhin -Excellent in the June match and troubled Aziz Behich, the 26 year-old is one of the top talents in Central Asia. Has moved around Central Asia a little as well a Turkey but is now doing well in Serbia's top tier. Can play on either flank and often does so in the same game. Very dangerous around the edge of the box
Coach: Aleksandr Krestinin -It is almost easier to list the Russian clubs that the 36 year-old did not play for during his career than the ones he did. Ambitious and aggressive, has been looking to tap into the European resources at Kyrgyzstan's disposal and his team is going through something of a transition. It will be fascinating to see where it ends up.
