Rogic scores in Celtic's League Cup Final triumph

Caltex Socceroo Tom Rogic has helped Celtic lift their 100th major trophy with the opening goal in the Bhoys' 3-0 defeat of Aberdeen in the Scottish League Cup Final overnight.

At a packed Hampden, Rogic opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a trademark curling shot.

The Aussie star was found by Jozo Simunovic near the edge of the box before cutting inside onto his left peg and curling a beauty into the far corner.

Man of the match James Forrest made it two before the break and Moussa Dembele with a third in the second half from the spot to help Brendan Rogers win his first trophy at Celtic and the club's 100th.

Rogic played for 77 minutes before being subbed off.

The win ending a disappointing week for the Bhoys who lost to Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League midweek ending their campaign in that tournament.
