Socceroo Asian Cup hero James Troisi has signed with Chinese Super League outfit Liaoning Whowing FC.
Troisi, 27, had been linked with a return to the A-League with his hometown club Adelaide and former club Victory both said to be in the frame.
But the player who scored the winning goal in the Asian Cup final almost a year ago to the day (Jan 31, 2015) now joins the growing number of players in the booming Chinese Super League.
Troisi recently left Ittihad after a brief stint in the Saudi top flight.
The South Australian began his career at Newcastle United in the UK followed by stints in Turkey, Belgium, Italy and Australia.
