Bozanic leaves Luzern

Socceroo midfielder Oliver Bozanic has announced his departure from Luzern after two years in the Swiss Super League.

The 26-year-old joined the club in June 2013 after winning the A-League title under Graham Arnold at the Central Coast Mariners.

Born in Sydney, the versatile and energetic Bozanic, able to play as an attacking midfielder or in a deeper central role, left the Mariners' youth set-up to spend three years with English club Reading between 2007 and 2010. He failed to make first-team appearance at the Royals, going on loan to Woking, Cheltenham Town and Aldershot Town.

He impressed back at Central Coast as the Mariners defeated premiers Western Sydney Wanderers 2-0 in the 2012-13 grand final.

Bozanic, who has seven full international caps to his name, has also appeared for the Young Socceroos and the Olyroos.
