Flamboyant English coach Ian Holloway has been appointed new manager of QPR, where he’ll coach one of the stars of the Australian national team, Massimo Luongo.
Luongo, who was sorely missed in Australia’s 2-2 World Cup qualifier draw in Bangkok on Tuesday night, has been deployed as more of a defensive midfielder this season under recently sacked manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
It remains to be seen for what role Holloway has for the former Swindon and Spurs midfielder.
Holloway, one of the most entertaining and honest managers in English football, holds Australians in high regard hailing their commitment to hard work.
In recent years, the 53-year-old coached current Aussie skipper Mile Jedinak at Crystal Palace, praising his midfield destroyer as “awesome”.
He also coached current Sydney FC star David Carney at Blackpool while the Seasiders spent a rollercoaster season in the English Premier League in 2010/11.
And while Holloway was the boss of Millwall, PS4 NPL star from Hume City, Jeremy Walker, was given a chance to train with the club after arriving unannounced at the Lions' training base in 2014.

Holloway arrives back at Loftus Road 10 years after the end of his last spell at the club on a two-and-a-half year contract. And he's ready to shake up Loftus Road once more.

QPR, who sit 17th in the Championship after 16 games, face Norwich City in their next match on November 19.
