Caltex Socceroos injury update

We’ve got your injury update on star Caltex Socceroo midfielders Mile Jedinak, Aaron Mooy and Jackson Irvine, who are all managing injuries right now in England's Championship.

The trio were all on the sidelines over the weekend, missing their respective club’s matches in the English Championship.

All have been in excellent form this season and Caltex Socceroos coach Ange Postecoglou will hope they are back in action soon, especially with March’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers fast approaching.

Mile Jedinak (Aston Villa)

The Caltex Socceroo skipper was left out of Aston Villa’s 2-2 draw with Preston North End on Saturday with a groin strain.

And Jedinak was sorely missed as Villa gave up a late lead to draw 2-2.

Due to the FA Cup this weekend in England, Villa aren’t in action again until January 31 with manager Steve Bruce hopeful the 32-year-old will be right to return for the clash with Brentford.

"Jedinak has been carrying a groin injury. He had injections on Friday,” Bruce said.

"We will see if we can get him right rather than just nurse it along."
