Aussies abroad update

Defender Jackson Irvine found the back of the net in Scotland, while James Troisi is under an injury cloud after limping off in Belgium. Plenty of Aussies were in action around the globe over the Easter long weekend - here's our wrap of how they've performed to date.

UK

Mark Schwarzer was on the bench as Leicester City defeated West Ham United 2-1 at home in the Premier League.

His fellow goalkeeper Brad Jones was an unused substitute for Liverpool, who lost 4-1 away to Arsenal.

Jason Davidson was not in the matchday squad for West Bromwich Albion, who suffered a 4-1 loss at home to Queens Park Rangers.

Adam Federici conceded in the last minute as his Reading side drew 1-1 at home to Cardiff City in the Championship.

A tier below in League One, Massimo Luongo played the full match but his Swindon Town team suffered a 3-0 defeat at home to Milton Keynes Dons.

Bailey Wright completed 90 minutes and Neil Kilkenny was an unused substitute for Preston North End, who won 1-0 at home to Rochdale.

Alex Cisak kept a clean sheet and Shane Lowry played the full game for Leyton Orient, who defeated Coventry City 1-0 away from home.

In the Scottish Premiership, Jackson Irvine netted the opening goal for Ross County in a 2-1 win away to Dundee United. Ryan McGowan was suspended for the hosts.

Scott McDonald supplied the assist for Motherwell's second goal in their 2-1 comeback win away to Kilmarnock.

Josh Brillante stayed on the bench for Empoli, who lost 2-0 away to Serie A leaders Juventus.

In Serie B, Mark Birighitti was an unused substitute for struggling Varese, who lost 3-0 at home to Catania.

James Holland played the full game as his Austria Wien were beaten 3-1 away to Red Bull Salzburg.

A muscle problem forced James Troisi to go off in the 37th minute of Zulte Waregem's 1-0 defeat at Genk in the Belgian Pro League.
